Tashi Chöling’s traditional Tibetan temple is a breathtaking sight, perfectly positioned on an open hillside in the Colestin Valley, just south of the inn. This stunning four-story temple features vibrant ornaments, pillars, and fluttering flags, all set against the majestic backdrop of the Siskiyou Mountains. As you explore the expansive grounds, you’ll discover a serene mandala garden and three beautiful shrines, highlighted by a life-size statue of the red Buddha at the center. The scenic half-hour drive will whisk you through the mountains, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. Whether you choose to embark on this adventure on your own or sign up for a retreat excursion—(transportation, and a generous donation to the temple for just $150 per person)—you’re guaranteed a truly enriching experience!

With a peak height of 7,533 feet and over 200 acres of skiable terrain, adventure awaits just 8 miles off the I-5 near the Oregon-California border. Whether you bring your own gear or rent from the local shop, be sure to check online or call for updated operational dates and skiing conditions. Enjoy the slopes!
